1. What this page covers
This page explains cookies and similar storage or access technologies used when you visit liber.tax. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar technologies include local or session storage, pixels and identifiers that may provide functionality, protect a service or measure its use.
2. What the website currently uses
When you choose EN or ES, the website stores only the value EN or ES under libertax-language in local browser storage. This functional preference is used only to keep your language choice across pages and later visits; it does not identify you or track activity.
The homepage may place a session-only browser flag after the opening voyage has played. Its only purpose is to avoid replaying that opening sequence repeatedly during the same browser session. It is not a cookie, expires with the session and is not used to identify you or follow you across websites.
The contact form uses server-side security controls, including a short-lived signed token, rate limits and one-way technical hashes. These controls protect the service and do not create an advertising or analytics profile in your browser.
On liber.tax and www.liber.tax only, Plausible Analytics may measure aggregate pageviews, referral sources, broad device or browser information and approved conversion events. Its standard implementation does not set cookies or use persistent visitor identifiers.
3. What we do not use
The current website does not use the following technologies:
- advertising or behavioural-profiling cookies;
- Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or retargeting tags;
- heatmaps or session recordings;
- cross-site tracking or persistent advertising identifiers;
- embedded third-party media that loads tracking automatically when the page opens.
4. Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner is not displayed because the current website does not set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies and does not use equivalent tracking storage requiring prior consent.
If a future feature introduces non-essential storage or tracking, it will be blocked until the information on this page, the Privacy Policy and any required consent mechanism have been updated.
5. Your browser controls
You can inspect, clear or block cookies and site data through your browser's privacy or site settings. Clearing local storage resets the website language to English; clearing session storage may cause the opening sequence to play again. Blocking essential site functionality may affect the form or other features.
6. External websites
The website links to services such as LinkedIn and Plausible's published data information. Following an external link takes you to a separate service governed by its own terms, privacy practices and storage choices. A normal link does not itself allow that destination to set a cookie before you visit it.

We may update this information when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be published here.
