UAE CORPORATE TAX · COMPLIANCE

UAE Corporate Tax and ongoing compliance

UAE Corporate Tax is an administered system, not a one-time registration. The practical task is to connect the legal entity, accounting records, elections, transactions and filing calendar.

Scope
Registration · Review · Filing coordination
Focus
Records · Conditions · Deadlines
Approach
Ongoing, not set-and-forget

Client focus. We work mainly with Spanish-speaking, Portuguese and Italian clients moving to Dubai or dealing with Dubai-connected matters, while serving clients worldwide.

Facts we review

We identify the taxable persons and periods, activities, licences, ownership, group relationships, revenue, accounting basis, free-zone position and material domestic or cross-border transactions.

The review distinguishes registration and filing obligations from the separate conditions for exemptions, Small Business Relief, free-zone treatment or other elections and adjustments.

  • Entity and branch population, ownership and tax periods.
  • Revenue, expenses, accounting policies and financial statements.
  • Related-party, connected-person and transfer-pricing facts.
  • Free-zone activities, customer profile and qualifying conditions where relevant.

How the engagement works

We establish the compliance calendar, information owners and open technical questions. Accounting data and legal facts are reviewed before elections or returns are finalised, with material assumptions and unresolved points recorded.

Where appropriate, Libertax coordinates the company, accountant, tax preparer and jurisdiction-specific advisers so the filed position, books and supporting file remain consistent.

Evidence that matters

Reliefs and tax treatments depend on conditions that should be supportable after filing. The file must explain the figures and the business facts behind them, not merely retain the submitted form.

  • Registration, elections, returns and authority correspondence.
  • Trial balance, financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Contracts, invoices and evidence of activities and customers.
  • Related-party analysis, transfer-pricing records and management approvals.

Material limits

A zero rate for qualifying income, Small Business Relief or another favourable treatment is conditional. Registration, record-keeping or filing may still apply. Eligibility must be checked for the relevant period and facts.

Libertax does not guarantee a rate or relief. Audits, disputes, formal opinions and work reserved to licensed or locally authorised professionals are handled with the appropriate specialist.

A good fit

  • UAE businesses that need the tax position connected to their accounting and operations.
  • Free-zone or cross-border companies with conditions that require active monitoring.
  • Owner-managed businesses seeking a clear annual compliance process.

Not a fit

  • A request to claim zero tax without testing the statutory conditions.
  • Filing from incomplete books with no willingness to resolve material gaps.
  • Retrospective documents intended to misstate transactions or business activity.

General information only. UAE Corporate Tax treatment and compliance depend on current legislation, administrative guidance and the taxpayer's complete facts for each period.
